From Resistance to Readiness: Shaping the AI-Supported Campus
The AI in Higher Education Virtual Conference brings together academics, the industry, students and regulators to address the opportunities and challenges that AI presents in universities, colleges, and lifelong learning programs.
AI offers opportunities to support post-secondary student learning, increase learner engagement, and prepare students for the needs of the workplace. AI can also support educators and administrators.
While AI is often seen as a threat, this conference explores the opportunities and advantages offered by AI in higher education. At the same time, it explores the challenges, ethical issues, and biases that can be caused or amplified by AI.
AI as a tool to drive development, social impact and reducing disparities is an important part of the conversations encouraged by this conference.
The conversations and recommendations generated by this conference will help inform policy governing AI in higher education; provide new insights to higher education institutions and educators about the possibilities of using AI in the service of education and learners' needs; and highlight the AI products that are currently available to support the higher education ecosystem.
